Toyota Prius
Japanese auto major Toyota plans to launch its first hybrid car, Toyota Prius in Indian market by the end of 2009. Toyota Prius is a C-segment hybrid sedan model which use both petrol as well as electric engine to run. Toyota Prius is much more fuel efficient than other cars of its segment which run on conventional fuel (petrol or diesel). Toyota will bring Toyota Prius come in India as a CBU (Completely Built Unit) that will lead it to high end cost due to high import duties on CBU. However, the exact price of Toyota Prius is not disclosed but it is expected that Toyota Prius price will lie in the range of Rs 18 to 20 lacs.
